Internships

At Thomas More College, students’ education is focused on the formation of the person and the honing of one’s mind. Nevertheless, we recognize the need for that person, once he graduates, to pursue his vocation and make his way in the world. That’s why we encourage students, and will help arrange for anyone interested, to take part in at least one internship with one of our partner organizations:

  • Second Spring, International Journal of Faith and Culture. This theological quarterly is based in Oxford, England, and has published (among others) authors such as Josef Cardinal Ratzinger.
  • H2oNews.org. This Rome-based international news agency provides a solidly grounded Catholic perspective on world events, with TV and Web broadcasts offered daily.
  • Zenit News. One of the most widely-read sources of news about the Church, sent by email to hundreds of thousands daily in a dozen languages.
  • Inside the Vatican. A well-informed and thoughtful monthly magazine published monthly in Vatican City.
  • The Holy See. Thomas More students can intern in Congregations of the Vatican in Rome, helping with the administration of the Universal Church.
  • Radio Vaticana. The radio voice of the Church, since Pius XI commissioned Marconi to build him a transmitter. TMC students can help prepare broadcasts during the Rome semester.
  • Caritas International. A leading international alliance of Catholic charitable agencies.
  • Culture of Life Foundation. A D.C.-based organization promoting the respect for human life from conception.

Thomas More College is constantly seeking to strengthen and build its internship program. Over the next year, we hope to establish internships for students in fields such as finance, business, politics, and other professional careers.  If you have an interest in a particular profession, Thomas More College’s faculty and staff will work to find an internship that will help you grow in your understanding and experience in that particular field.
