National Report Ranks College in Top Tier

In the past, the Thomas More College of Liberal Arts has been the proud recipient of awards from nationally-recognized collegiate reports. These awards have recognized the College for its educational quality, as well as its faithful commitment to its Catholic identity.  Past acclaim for Thomas More has been given by organizations such as The Newman Guide, The Young America’s Foundation, and The American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA).

Most recently, Thomas More has been rated among the top Christian colleges nationwide in a survey undertaken by Faith on View, an independent research institute.

Drawing on several statistical resources, Faith on View’s Christian College Report surveyed nearly 200 hundred colleges and universities across the country. The report considered such factors as the number of currently enrolled students, average freshman GPA scores, student-to-faculty ratios, graduation rates, overall student satisfaction, and post-graduation career success.

Thomas More College was pleased to rank exceptionally high in the report, rated among the top 30 Christian colleges nationwide. It placed 5th in the Northeastern United States. In addition, out of nearly fifty institutions with a student body of 750 or less, the College ranked 3rd overall.

“As traditional education becomes increasingly rare, it is heartening to see the College become more well-known across the U.S,” said President Fahey. “The recent report from Faith On View only confirms the value of institutions such as Thomas More.”

Thomas More College, like the Benedictine monasteries of the early Middle Ages, is joyfully committed to “the love of learning and the desire for God.” Through its dedication to academic excellence and a firm adherence to its Catholic identity, the College not only passes on the best that Christian culture has to offer to its students, but teaches them to live it.
