Aja Cowhig received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the Thomas More College of Liberal Arts in 2011. For her Junior Project, the required intensive semester-long study of a great work, she chose The Consolation of Philosophy by Saint Boethius. Aja’s senior thesis was on “the attainment of happiness through friendship” as seen in the novels of Jane Austen and supported by the works of Aristotle. In the summer of 2011 she was honored with a scholarship for the Edmund Campion Fellowship Programme. The programme entailed one week in NH and two weeks at Oxford University studying the Catholic Literary Revival in England. Aja is from British Columbia, Canada. In addition to studying, she enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.
